REO Boudin Seasoning delivers authentic Cajun flavor with a perfectly balanced blend of salt, spices, onion, garlic, bell pepper, and jalapeño. Crafted to produce traditional Louisiana-style boudin, this seasoning creates rich, savory flavor with just the right amount of heat. Ideal for homemade boudin and other Cajun-inspired recipes, it provides the classic taste and texture that boudin lovers expect.

Directions for 30 lbs. of Boudin

1.     Place 8 lbs. of pork butt in a pot with 8 lbs. of water.

2.     Boil for approximately 2 hours, or until the meat is tender.

3.     Remove the meat and allow it to cool. Strain and reserve the cooking stock.

4.     Add 1 lb. 2 oz. of REO Boudin Seasoning to the reserved stock and mix thoroughly.

5.     Use 6 lbs. of parboiled rice with 10 lbs. of water. Cook the rice until tender.

6.     Allow the meat, rice, and seasoned stock to cool.

7.     Combine the meat, rice, and seasoned stock, then mix thoroughly.

8.     Grind the mixture through a 3/16-inch plate.

9.     Stuff into natural casings.

Yield: Approximately 30 lbs. of authentic Cajun boudin. *CURE NOT INCLUDED
